Prime London procuring vacation spot Carnaby Street has revealed its latest installation – crafted from recycled plastic from local shops and eating places – as a part of its summer season marketing campaign ‘Carnaby in Colour’.

The installation, made in collaboration with the recycling model Are You Mad, will present a vibrant characteristic suspended above Carnaby Street and Newburgh Street.

To create the piece, it took 4 weeks of amassing waste plastic, 16 days of sheet urgent and a workforce of 13 folks to create the ultimate supplies. A complete of 684kg of recycled plastic waste was upcycled, ranging from bakery crates to undesirable store decorations.

James Suckling, Co-Founder of Are You Mad, commented: “We are proud to be part of this undertaking in such an iconic vacation spot. The momentary artwork piece was unveiled on 6 July and can stay in place till mid-September. The art work comes within the type of three hand/heart-shaped arches that can sit alongside the present Welcome To Carnaby Street arches which have additionally been upcycled with vibrant recycled hand elaborations.
